First announced in June, the one-off Volvo S60 Polestar caught the attention of the motoring press with its performance figures – 508 hp, 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 300 km/h weren’t numbers normally associated with Gothenburg’s products.
At the time, we reported that the car may enter production in small numbers, depending on market response. Well, the company has announced that it will be giving the S60 Polestar its debut at the upcoming Los Angeles International Auto Show, so this may just give Volvo the public reception it needs to put this car into production.
At the moment, a Polestar-tuned S60 R-Design and XC60 R-Design are offered in select markets with a 325 hp, 479 Nm output. Both models can also be had in the same Rebel Blue you see on the concept car, which should make telling the S60s apart from the outside quite difficult, for now at least.
